Storyboard

I show a draft of the storybaord image by placing each scene of storyboard syncing with the audio in After effect,so that I can see the overall effect.
Feedback: It shows my daily life in campus, but cannot see who am I through this draft video.

Fig 1.5 Frame Size
In Tik Tok, the framing is in vertical size 1080px x 1920px, so have to manually change the frame size. I use google to find where to adjust the frame size from horizontal to vertical.
File-> New Sequence -> Edit Frame Size
After going through color correction and curves, the shots are edited to follow the beats of the music. Transitions are added to the video such as Film Dissolve at the end of the video.

Vid 1.1 Draft 1
When review back my idea description, I feel that my video didn't match my expectation and pointless, the main theme is unknown. After seeking feedback from Mr Martin, he suggest and encourage me to redo my Tik Tok Video. Due to insufficient of time, he has agree that just refilm the video without changing the idea description and redo the moodboard.
So I decided to introduce the place I have visit the most in campus and pick a relaxing and enjoyable music as background music. To make the video intrested, some of the transitions between shots using some physical. I feel a bit embarrassing to film in the public, so I have forgotten the transitions sometime.
Places to film:
- Campus Central
- Library
- Lecture Theatre
- Design Studio 2
- Weekly Booth
- Syopz Mall
Fig 1.9 Adjustment Layer
Different from the draft 1 color correction, this time the color correction and grading are edited on the adjustment layer. In color correction, all the shot are edited to prevent over exposure and too yellowish, then in color grading, saturation and tint are applied.

Fig 2.1 Week 5 Tutorial
Our group was randomly assigned on a list, and the Project of the shoot was by lottery. At the beginning, our group got Project B, but all of us wanted to try Project S. Luckily, other group members were willing to switch with us, so we started to assign our jobs. Below is the task distribution of our team members, crew list and the filming plan.
Fig 2.2 Task Distribution
We set up a whatsapp group for easy communication. Our group was very responsive, the art director confirmed the props and costumes before the shoot, and our team leader and assistant director visited the planned set in advance to make sure it was suitable for our project. AS I am the Director of Photographer, DOP, I also checked in advance what shot size to use for different shots, the most common shot size is medium shot before filming.
Filming
Fig 2.3 Filming Shot 1 Scene 1 Shot 1
Fig 2.4 Filming the final scene
During the filming process, there were different challenges that we had to face, and the camera's battery slack caused the camera to shut down often, and some of the footage was not preserved. The weather was too hot for the exposure, the lighting could not be solved (lighting was done by dop assistance), the camera did not focus properly, the size of the venue limited the ability to get a good composition, some angles were not possible to use a bracket and we had to use manpower to keep the camera at an angle, and our hands were shaking all the time, resulting in shaky footage. Our hands were constantly shaking, resulting in shaky footage. It took us four hours to complete the video. I felt a sense of relief when the filming was done. Although I realised that the filming was not the best, I learnt a lot from it.
Video Editing
Fig 2.5 Sync audio with the shot
All the video and audio are seperated, so have to sync the audio to video respectively and synchronize function has been apply. Only some of the audio cannot been synced since the function cannot detect the audio.
Fig 2.6 Audio Audition
Fig 2.7 Deverb and DeNoise
However, there is some echo in scene 1 shot 2 audio and I found out the audio audition can be edit directly in Adobe Premiere Pro. Deverb and DeNoise are applied to remove the background noise and echo.
Fig 2.8 Trimming
Fig 2.9 Color Correction 1
Then, going through again the color correction and color grading and showcase the outcome to Mr Martin. He said that the color grading is not enough but the color correction is okay and the trimming part can be shorter. Last, the changes have been made according the feedback.
